Redding Drag Racers Participate in the Pacific Division Finals at Auto Club Famosa Raceway

On September 19-21, 2014, Redding Dragstrip sent 10 drag racers to the Pacific Division Finals at Auto Club Famosa Raceway in Bakersfield, CA. While the competition was tough, one racer, Dwayne Opperman seemed to stand up to the pressure.

NHRA Mello Yellow 2014 Sonoma Nationals

As many of you may know, we are Houston natives and die-hard NHRA fans. As such, we have attended many NHRA national events at what was once known as Houston Raceway Park. Thanks to Briggs Firestone of Oroville, after over 10 years living in the beautiful California foothills, this year we were finally able to attend the NHRA Mellow Yellow 2014 Sonoma Nationals finals on Sunday, July 27, 2014.

Nor Cal Drag Racing Attends 2014 Gold Rush Car Show

Since 1996, the Oro Dam Cruisers have organized the Gold Rush Car Show in Oroville, Calfornia. Every year, the well attended car show, hosts car enthusiasts from all over California and surrounding states.

This year was Nor Cal Drag Racing’s first year to participate in the show. Although our 1974 Chevy Luv is still in the ‘project stage,’ we were proud to enter our street/strip mini-truck in the show.
